PRIMAL FEAR: New Album Title, Release Date Announced

July 8, 2011

German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR have set "Unbreakable" as the title of their new album, due on January 20, 2012 via Frontiers Records. The band will enter House Of Music studios in Winterbach, Germany on Sunday, July 10 to begin recording the CD, which will be produced by PRIMAL FEAR bassist Mat Sinner and engineered by Achim Khler (EDGUY, MASTERPLAN). Songtitles set to appear on the effort include "Give 'Em Hell", "And There Was Silence", "Where Angels Die", "Born Again" and "Strike".

Commented PRIMAL FEAR, "We've survived earthquakes and tornados. This is the story of all who tried to destroy us, are still trying or gave up."

PRIMAL FEAR recently asked fans to submit suggestions for the new CD title and received more than 500 responses.

The band will take a break from the recording sessions for its new album to play at Germany's Wacken Open Air and Geiselwind festivals in early August.

PRIMAL FEAR recently extended its deal with Frontiers Records for two more albums after releasing the last two CDs through the label 2007's "New Religion" and 2009's "16.6 (Before The Devil Knows You're Dead!)". The band says, "Never change a winning team!"

Guitarist Henny Wolter left PRIMAL FEAR in August 2010 because in his words "it just didn't feel like a band anymore." Henny, who is also no longer a member of SINNER (led by PRIMAL FEAR bassist Mat Sinner),is focusing on his new band NITROGODS, also featuring ex-PRIMAL FEAR drummer Klaus Sperling and vocalist Oimel Larcher. The group's self-titled debut album is expected later in the year.

PRIMAL FEAR last year released a live DVD, "16.6 - All Over The World" (recorded in various locations between September and November 2009),and a live CD, aptly titled "Live In The USA". Frontiers Records issued the two products separately and as a limited-edition combo on June 22, 2010 in the USA. The DVD is filled with an abundance of extra materials, such as an entire bootleg section with funny moments on the road, bootleg footage from various festival appearances and other concerts, all of PRIMAL FEAR's most recent promotional videos, plus the making-of footage for "16.6" and a brand new interview section about the past, present and future of PRIMAL FEAR.
